High pitched Ruan, or Gao Yin Ruan is the smallest instrument in the Ruan family.

The pitch of the instrument is the highest among all the Ruans. It sounds a like the mandolin as well. (Check out the video link below)

This high pitched Ruan is made of rosewood and the frets are made of bone.

The instrument is made by from Suzhou, China.
