Zhonghu is like the alto of the Huqin family. Construction of a Zhonghu is similar to Erhu, but with a larger neck and resonator. The strings are tuned a fifth lower than the Erhu.
Zhonghu produces a deep and mellow tone, similar to that of a Viola but more expressive.
This Zhonghu by Shanghai Dunhuang 'Yun' Brand has a deep and rich tone. Playing is responsive and even high notes come out cleanly.
One of the best Zhonghus around.
All our erhus come with CITES certificate to certify the snakeskin is from legitimate sources.
Shanghai Dunhuang Musical Instruments Co., Ltd is the largest and most established Chinese Musical Instruments Factory in China.
