Zhonghu is like the alto of the Huqin family. Construction of a Zhonghu is similar to Erhu, but with a larger neck and resonator. The strings are tuned a fifth lower than the Erhu.
Zhonghus produces a deep and mellow tone, similar to that of a Viola but more expressive.
This is a professional grade aged Rosewood Zhonghu by YKM from Zhejiang. YKM's chinese fiddles are exquisite and of high quality. This zhonghu is sensitive, sonorous and responisve in the high registers.
Construction and craftsmanship is solid and notes are responsive. This is a favourite among orchestras in Singapore.
